當主角Forrest(阿甘,湯姆漢克飾)準備第四次橫越美國時,記者緊追在旁問他:
" Why are you running? Are you doing this for world peace? or for the homeless? Are you running for women's rights? or the environment? or animanls?"
"They couldn't believe somebody would do all the running for no particular reason."

I haven't finished my thesis yet. BUT, no time for losers when deadline is approaching. Do something I have never done. Be stronger, there is nothing to lose.

"Most people choose a career on the basis of such pragmatic consideration as the needs of the economy, the relative ease of finding a job, and the salary they can expect to make, Hardly anyone is free to choose a career  based on his or her natural talents or interest in a particular kind of work."

Money makes the world go round. There has been a further devaluation of university degree and increasingly higher rate of unemployment over the past ten years. People therefore tend to seek a high-paying job by choose a career based on promising consideration rather than natural talents. I incline to the view that people should choose a career accounting for talent-match to achieve the privileges of a job.

To begin with, although choosing a particular area of work by considering the pragmatic purposes cause the relative ease of finding a job with salary as their expectation, those kind of career lack of some important power to become really outstanding. On the contrary, the career chosen on the basis of individual's unique talents or interests would generate more potential power for pursuing a relatively successful life in the long run. Many musicians pursue their ideal career  on the basis of musical talent. A well-known example in Taiwan's pop music is cited to support my main reason for agreeing  with the latter assertion. Jay Chou, a pretty famous artist and music writer in Asian, also around the world. He was blocked out by the entrance exam to university study. Thus, there left no chance for him to enter a university for further education. However, now he is still ranked as the top  pop artiest in Asian. Jay Chou once appeared on the TIME magazine's cover story as the most influent people in 2003. Such astonishingly success not comes from a higher education or even the pursue of pragmatic future. Instead, it comes from listening carefully to the voice of his natural talent. If Jay choose a career based on the society expectation, he would not to be the Asian's hottest pop star among young generation. Therefore, before choosing a pragmatic career, it is much more prominent to figure out that you are ideally suited for that kind of job or not.

In addition, from a psychologist's perspective, considering natural talents or
interests might achieve higher level of self-satisfaction.Abraham

early morning on March, 29, 2011
